Prayer for today

This prayer was written by one of our church members Gemma.

Heavenly Father, as the weekend approaches we pray for all those families, NHS workers, social workers, care workers, children who don’t know when they are likely to get back to their education, those whose business’s have closed their doors for the foreseeable future after the big announcement from the government. May you be around them at this incredibly difficult time, may you make your presence known as they try and figure out which direction their future lies. Lord, we pray for your provision, guidance, peace and reassurance in this uncertain time. We pray for those elderly and vulnerable people in our community who are isolated from their community, friends and family, those mums who won’t be able to hold their children on Mothering Sunday, May you bring them your love and comfort. We pray for those families who have lost loved ones here in the UK from the virus, hold them in your embracing arms Lord, comfort them in their grief. We pray for ourselves as we worship together on Sunday.. but in our own separate homes, may we continue to feel connected to each other, help us to focus our mission on being your disciples in this uncertain time for our nation. In your loving name, we pray. Amen

Service for 29th March 5th Sunday in Lent

If you go to our Worship section you should be able to find two services for this Sunday one produced by The Vine at Home and one produced by the Methodist Church. You can follow it at home on your own, but knowing that many other Christians are following the exact same services.

We have been forced to stop worshipping together, but don’t let us stop worshipping altogether.

Every Blessing

Defib 2019

Greasby Methodist Church have now purchased and installed a Heart Defibrillator which is sited on the outside wall to the right of the main entrance. It is fully automatic and registered with the ambulance service so if you ever need to gain access the code to open the cabinet will be given to you when you phone 999.

We would like to thank all those who use our premises for their contributions towards the cost of the defibrillator which should give us, and them, the assurance that should one be needed it is readily available. Greasby, which is a great place to live, now has three such machines sited throughout the village for the benefit of the community.
